Easter Food Walking Tour


Easter is the biggest religious holiday in Greece and a great time to come to Chania. 

Τhis 4-hour tour takes you back in time to connect the history of the city and Easter food traditions to Orthodox Cretans, Venetians-they had the island under their control for 465 years- and Cretan Jews.



Herbal tea. 

A variety of Lenten foods. 

Kalitsounia: small pies filled with wild greens (lenten version of kalitsounia) and local cheese (Easter version)

Bougatsa: phyllo pastry filled with soft cheese and sprinkled with sugar and cinnamon powder.

Cheese tasting.

Venetian- Cretan Easter fogazia
