Five course meal

Main course:  

Moussakas is a casserole of layered sautéed slices of potatoes and eggplants (in some places they also add zucchini and tomatoes), with the meat sauce (either pork or veal) in the middle layer and topped with a lush layer of béchamel sauce and myzithra or graviera cheese. 


First Appetizer:  

Tzatziki, a Greek yoghurt, cucumber and garlic dip. 

 


Second Appetizer

Tyropitakia:  phyllo wrapped triangles (filled with feta and egg).


Salad:


Dessert:  

Galaktoboureko, a traditional Greek dessert made with layers of golden brown crispy phyllo, sprinkled with melted butter, filled with the most creamy custard and bathed in scented syrup).
